You can also get a USB Wi-Fi dongle other than an extension card for your standalone PC. Click OK to close Middlebury College Wireless Network properties. Enter your username and password (same as your email account). The username should be “MIDD\your_username”(MIDD\tsmith for example) You should now be connected to the Middlebury College network!Others say that the PC indicates that Wi-Fi networks are available but nothing shows up on the list.Usually, this issue is related to the WLAN network card drivers. Uncheck Varify the server’s identity by validating the certificate, then click the Configure button. Make sure the Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any) checkbox is unchecked.
Check Specify Authentication mode and choose User Authentication.
Also, since I was able to connect from my laptop with no problem, it led me to believe it was something wrong with my desktop.
After about 30 minutes of fiddling around with various settings, I was able to figure out what the problem was.
If your Wi-Fi network is on one of the forbidden channels, then it won’t be available.
This usually happens to routers transmitting on channel 13.
As u mention ur network authentication is WPA2-PSK but ur laptop only have WPA-PSK.
