1 new chat request from
Admin privileges allow you to approve new members before they join your group chat.
Anyone in a group chat can create a custom invite link and share it with someone they’d like to join the conversation. When you switch over to the conversation in mobile, however, viewing that sentiment doesn’t register as having read the message, which causes the sentiment to remain in unread status, causing the new message icon to recur over and over.If you are really frustrated and you don’t have access to a desktop machine, you can also open in your mobile browser and choose “Show Desktop View” or “Request Desktop Site” from your browser drop-down menu.People who tap the link will either be added to the group automatically if approvals are off, or will be added once the admin has approved the request.By chatting with up to 250 people in a group at a time, group chats are fun, useful, and seamless at the same time. When you click on the Messenger icon, it sends you over to the Messenger app, but….there’s no unread message. Even though the Facebook Messenger app doesn’t show you a new or unread message, you probably have one. Each time this happens, the mobile app doesn’t display any new messages, but when I switch to the desktop site, I do see one.
So, to clear the Facebook Messenger notification: Other Facebook users can send you Messenger requests to connect and when you do connect, Facebook will send you a confirmation message that your accounts have been connected and you can send messages to each other.
And admin privileges and joinable links are just a few of the great group chat features in Messenger: You can also have realtime voice and video chats in groups with up to 50 people at a time, and now you can add friends and family to your in-progress voice and video chats without having to interrupt the conversation, making sure no one misses out.
Messenger is a great way to connect to the groups of people you care about most – helping you spend time together online or even better, making plans to spend time together in real life.
